Tip: if you’re heading to Sunway Lagoon, it costs RM80 each. Be there early to queue! Their efficiency was low, like REALLY REALLY LOW. The queue wasn’t very long but the time taken to buy the tickets was super long. And then people kept coming so the whole place became flooded after a while.

The Petronas Twin Towers re-opened on 28 November 2011 after its upgrading (I just found out that they had an upgrading thing! http://www.nst.com.my/streets/central/petronas-twin-towers-to-reopen-its-doors-on-thursday-1.12158). I’m quite impressed with the new stuffs actually!
They have this gigantic iPad-like touch screens for people to play games! Of course our gamer LEL wouldn’t miss it.

On the way up, Yihui was so scared of the monkeys! But there were really many many monkeys! & they looked kinda fierce! Not only that, they dared to go very close to the humans, which made them scarier! What if we kena attacked by them?!

If you’re going to Batu Caves, take a cab! It’s not that expensive and it’s so much more convenient!

& Yihui had a Za Cai Fan which was buffet-style! Take all you want and they will charge you after that. Yihui only took a little and realized that she 吃亏 cuz everyone around her grabbed a mountainfull of food! & it was SUPER CHEAP!!!! I think around SGD2 if I remebered correctly.
All these cheap and good food eat already VERY VERY SHIOK!!! :DD Eat until very happy!
Then there was this confectionery that TYZ had to go. He said his family loved the stuffs from here. Well, true enough. 狮城游客最爱 leh!

SO YUMMY! The meat is so tender, the soup is so rich with a slight herbal taste! It’s not like the usual Bakuteh in Singapore with an overwhelming pepper taste! You can drink the soup the whole dayyyy. Yea, just the soup and rice will do. *YUMMM* Think it’s really popular cuz there was a tour group who ate here too. Oh, but one thing bad. The servers were all so busy that we had to call for the soup refill for FOUR times before we really got it.
Lesson learnt: call for the soup refill way before your soup is gone.
Seafood Bakuteh. The soup is sweeter, with less of that herbal taste. I like this too! The steam made the photo have a natural fantasy effect (sth like my Pudding Camera!)
Dry Bakuteh! Can try if you haven't had it before. It's not bad! Tastes like Gong Bao!
The Bakuteh made us all very happy! Yihui was the happiest I think HAHA. She lovedddddd the traditional Bakuteh the most. And her favourite slave, THT, promised to take her to the Bakuteh near his place (he says it tastes alike. we shall see!)
Oh, and all these for a mere $8 per person! SO CHEAP HOR!!!!!!!!!! Blogging about this makes me wanna go back and eat it again!!! AHHHHHHH BAKUTEH CRAVINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG.

Really enjoyed the trip a lot!! Though they never stop teasing. Never imagined that ten years later, we’ll be able to go on a trip together after our aussie trip in 2003 (was it? can’t remember). Sad that Ling Ting can’t come with us because of her busy schedule. We have to go on another trip together AGAIN.
Those days really… So many memories. Even with my disgustingly bad memory, I could still remember bits and pieces of the times at SYF etc etc. LEL said he saw me cry before, but I denied. Actually is true luh (I think once, before SYF) haha. All the embarrassing moments. & THT says it’s because of him that I’m enthu-band. Okay that’s true too. TYZ says he will never stop teasing because I’ll never get angry. But that’s not true, because one day I’ll act like I’m super angry and make you say sorry. TGH says he’ll get his first GF by his 23rd birthday, which is coming soon. I’m still waiting… Yihui says she’s very shy towards people, and she won’t talk much in a big group. But during this whole trip, YIHUI WAS NOT LIKE THAT. She was CIA one hor, that’s why she got her nickname Xiao La Jiao, and got herself a favourite slave THT :)
Everyone’s so awesome. I always feel very grateful for whoever that’s planning my life up there, cuz you always give me the best in life. These friends are one of them :) So mushy YIKES but I love em alot. The polaroid taken during the trip is in my wallet now! YAYY :D
After the whole trip, I can’t help but think. These guys have all grown up to become matured man. They took care of the two girls, made sure we were not lagging behind taking photos, led the way, helped me carry my heavy luggage bla bla bla. They literally took care of EVERY SINGLE THING so me and Yihui didn’t have to worry at all. Thinking back, these childish boys playing basketball after every single band practice have grown up to become caring and muscular men who knows how to take care of people around them! *applause* Might be army, might be family, I don’t know what is it that caused the changes, but I’m really happy :)
By the way, I think they’ll make awesome boyfriends, so LELONG LELONG!! :D Only Papa is taken, the other three are still available! So they’re up for grabs! HAHA! Interested applicants, leave a comment below. HAHAHA!

It’s Organizer Time!
Every December, it’s a tradition for me to visit Sanrio shops to look for the perfect Hello Kitty organizer for myself. An organizer is a very very important item! For me, if I don’t have an organizer, I’ll forget my appointments etc. Yes yes, I am forgetful, but at least I take actions to solve that alright!
When I was younger, I didn’t have $$, so I only bought the monthly planner. The grids are so small, think they are at most 2cm x 2cm big only! & it still worked the same way for me :) My handwriting is tiny, and I buy 0.38 fine pens to jot stuffs down. In the past, because there wasn’t Facebook notifications on birthdays, I had all my close friends’ birthdays written in the planner too! That’s the reason why I’m able to remember “older” friends’ birthdays and I can’t do the same for “newer” friends. Sorry! At least I make the effort to remember your birthday month okay!
Anyways, I’m kinda lazy to go out today and I happen to be in the mood for some organizer shopping! And what… I use the INTERNET MACHINE!! :D I can’t feel and touch the items, but it works too! Hello Kitty stuffs will look cute anyway!

My evaluation:
Ignoring the fact that I was singing on the radio for the first time (TOTALLY NOT AN EXCUSE), I think my performance was just a mere 5/10. Okay, maybe 5.5/10. DJ Ken was kind enough to add in reverb for me so that I would sound better, and entertainment value of the whole show was not bad, hence it accounted for the pass. Bad thing was that all my flaws were exposed on radio! Felt so naked during the whole show-a super different feeling from practising in school. Because of this (okay, excuses again I know), I felt so insecure that I couldn’t control my breathing, which affected my already unstable pitch and tempo! Not zai enough is like that one…
Gonna keep on improving and improving and improving!!!
Many people ask “you want to be singer ah?”. Personally I find it quite ridiculous, I love singing doesn’t mean I want to be a singer what. It’s a passion, something I feel really at ease when I’m doing it. If I make it a career, I think I’ll lose all of it. And to me, singing is like the ONLY thing I’m better at, so once I lose it. I lose EVERYTHING. During exchange, when I couldn’t sing, I was really really upset with myself, I felt bad about myself, no confidence and bla bla bla. Now that I’m back and singing, whoosh!! I feel damn good!! Really can feel the difference! That’s why I tell myself I shouldn’t, really really shouldn’t lose it :)
Now that I have an iPad, I’m gonna make full use of it! Downloaded GarageBand and it’s gonna be the holidays soon!! Think during this december, I’ll be a 宅女, staying at home and working on music! Looking forward much!!!! :DDD

Whenever I Youtube “Karyn Wong”, I’m always very happy to find my new videos up there!
Not that I’m zi lian or what, I’m just proud to show what I enjoy doing! After I’m back from Europe (also deprived from singing), I’m back with more stuffs!
First of all, a cover of Lady Gaga’s Born This Way with Edz. Super happy because it was the first time I was recording on professional equipment. Edz had this super pro looking mic and some soundbox or whatever you call it, and I could hear my own voice when I sang! The feeling is SIBEI SHIOK AH! Can even remember the feeling till now (almost three months later)!
Am super envious of Edz’s guitar/piano playing skills. & his passion for music. Kinda inspired by him. Hope that he continues to make good music cuz I realized he’s stopped doing covers etc. Not good at all! Please! Start doing covers again!
Not enough not enough! I’m so damn happy when my vocal instructor, Esther Lao Shi, got me to audition for her wedding band! Yes! What an opportunity right! Lidat anyhow sing, sing until I can make money with my voice!! :D Super excited! & because the couple wanted a “sample” of how I sounded, I had to record a few songs!
Don’t belittle this 44-second video, it was recorded with alot alot of effort okay! Recording process: TOUGH. Why? Cuz I not pro. First, Lao Shi wanted to record through MacBook. But I sounded BAD. Bad as in my tempo was not super precise kind, and plus my pitch! It’s sharp sharp flat flat, flat flat sharp sharp. I knew I was tone deaf! Then, Lao Shi finally said “let’s go to the recording studio”. Yea recording in the studio was much better. I felt more at ease, I felt more secure. As I recorded, I could hear my own voice, so it wasn’t that scary as recording on a MacBook. And FINALLY, it was done. Though it was edited here and there because my tempo sucked big time. Okay maybe not big time, but just a teeny weeny bit too obvious for a recording. Wow, recording is tough, really really tough. I admire those singers who can do it one shot okay. I know Ah Mei does it. She damn pro. And I really have to thank ppl who gave me alot of encouragement. I was slightly depressed when things didn’t go well during the recording. HURR. But I’m glad these words of encouragement managed to help me get my job done.
And and and! My proudest production of all! RBG!
I so love to sing with these two girls. Love until we sing WHEREVER WE GO. And the thing about them (esp Winnie) is that they are so damn cute! 很容易被音乐控制! Once I start with a sentence of a song, they’ll continue. And harmonizing comes in! This happens even when we are in the shopping mall kays! I get all my courage to SING OUT LOUD whenever I’m with them. Tang Yuan Jie Mei = Rice Ball Girls, therefore the name RBG! :D We submitted this video for Channel U’s I Just Wanna Sing competition, but judges didn’t give comments till now (BOOOOO). Also posted it up on Facebook and am super happy that our friends are giving us so much encouragement! :D
My first time on the piano (in video), and it was really funny how we recorded it. I even had finger cramps (like wth right)!! But it was an experience! Gotta improve improve! Cuz I can only play in C major and use the keyboard to transpose! HAHA SUCK MAX.
Did I mention wedding gig just now? Yea here are some photos of the wedding gig I performed in. So glad to see the couple having fun during their daytime activities. I never fail to laugh at how the jiemeis make it so tough for the groom to get to the bride! Weddings so 幸福! Hope the couple 早生贵子！Happy for them!! :DD

AYE i’m just really really happy to have all these experiences, all these friends to be with me, all these opportunities to do the things that I like. I thought that my life would be boring with just school alone, but apparently no. I’m happy being busy with practices and all! :D Getting to work with different musicians makes me go “awwww” at them cuz they so zai. SHIOK AH! :D
Oh, and I’m blogging about this because I miss singing alot. Down with sore throat for almost a week already and I’m feeling the stress to practice for upcoming performances. But I just can’t sing :( HUR, gonna go visit the Chinese Sinseh tomorrow and hope that he’ll give me miracle pills or whatever to make me recover IMMEDIATELY.
